Debbie has more than three decades into the real estate business, first gaining her license in 1987 and working her first 13 years in commercial real estate and currently working on the residential side for the last 15-plus years.

She’s worked with such agencies as Coldwell Banker, and Keller Williams before joining the Bill McCoy team in 2013.

A bank teller at the time, Debbie said a friend in commercial real estate that talked her into changing careers. And she is glad she did.

Along with fellow Bill McCoy agent Chris Ferris, Debbie works all new development in Chapman Estates in Lee’s Summit and is a relocation specialist.

A resident of Lake Lotawana, Debbie and her husband – married to Phillip for 25 years – have three kids. Nikki is attending Missouri State University and Samantha is at Lee’s Summit North, while Peter is studying at MCC-Longview.

While Debbie grew up in south Kansas City, she is an avid sailor and skier, having sailed since age 12 and spending as much time on the water as she can.

In fact, she said the strangest thing in her desk drawer is likely her certified scuba card – ready when she needs it for vacation so she can scuba at a moment’s notice.

Around Kansas City, Debbie enjoys dining at Houston’s on the Plaza (prime rib and lobster) and recently took in the band Boston at Starlight Theater.
