While his nights and weekends are spent with the kids, Chris and his wife, Cassi, spend their days on the Bill McCoy team at Keller Williams.

Chris has been with Bill McCoy for two years and in real estate since 2009, when got his real estate license as a hobby, eventually leaving his corporate job at Sprint on the quest to take on the risk of self-employment. A risk he said has vastly paid off.

Starting in the subdivisions, Chris remembers getting his first sign and how that opened up new opportunities for him.

Married with a son (7) and two daughters (ages 4 and 2), Chris and his wife live in downtown Lee’s Summit where they have access to local parks and an award-winning business district with plenty of amenities for the kids.

Born in Lake Tapawingo, Chris graduated from Blue Springs High School in 2003 and earned his MBA from Rockhurst University in 2008.

And while the weeks are filled with all the hustle and bustle of the real estate market, Chris said being a dad and juggling karate, boy scouts, basketball and baseball – and his own hobbies of fishing and water skiing – make it all worth it.

Like his wife Cassi, Chris says when the two can get out, they enjoy a good spicy tuna handroll at Sushi Haru in Kansas City.

Cassi Ferris makes up one-half of a two-member real estate team in her house, joining husband Chris on the Bill McCoy team.

Fresh off getting her real estate license, Cassi said she is excited to transition from corporate life to real estate sales.

Cassi and Chris met while working at Sprint. They have lived in Lee’s Summit for five years and have three kids.

A resident of downtown Lee’s Summit, Cassi is involved in the PTA at Lee’s Summit Elementary and is an avid fan of Royals baseball.

While the shift to self-employment can be daunting, Cassi said she was ready to put her own personal success first and wanted to be part of a team, reminding her of a lesson she learned from her own mom, in that “nothing worth having in life comes easy.”

While her desk surely has all the essentials of an agent on the go, Cassi said the most unique thing you’ll find there are baby binkies and toy cars.

When they’re not at soccer or a downtown park, Cassi said she and her husband enjoy eating at Sushi Haru in Kansas City.
